"I Have a Place in Heaven"

Please don't sing sad songs for me, forget your grief and fears.

For I am in a perfect place, away from pain and tears.

I'm far away from hunger, hurt, want and pride.

I have a place in Heaven with the Master at my side.

My life on earth was very good, as earthly lives can go,

But Paradise is so much more than anyone can know.

My heart is filled with happiness and sweet rejoicing, too.

To walk with God is perfect peace, a joy forever new.

A rose was picked from the garden of life today.

A smiling face was taken away.

We will shed a tear because she is no longer here,

because she was so special and dear.

She is now in a far better place,

looking down on us with a smiling face.

She is now in a place where there is no pain, no hurt,

no sorrow. She knows that each day will bring

a far better tomorrow.

When you look in the sky tonight, you will see a

star that is shining so bright.

That is her way of telling us she is all right.

The Lord is my shepherd;
